Day 61 – A Helping Hand
By Renee Bodkin
Mondays are sometimes difficult. Kick starting the week. Getting into the routine of work. Getting the boys into the routine of school. Getting ready for Scouts and all that our week has to offer.
So, as I was muddling through the day… I realized something. How grateful I am for the ability to lend a helping hand. I am a helper. A volunteer. A doer. And I am so grateful that I am this type of person. I am grateful that I can expend some energy or time to help others when they are in need. It makes me who I am. And then… part of this realization was that we all NEED. So by being a “helper”, when I am in need… others are more apt to help me. I see it almost every day. In the simple acts of our day. I don’t know what it is but I think our lives are a merry-go-round where we are all riding this carousel of life and when we are down there is someone there to help us get back up… and keep riding. And for that… I am so very grateful.
