Grateful for Lists on Day 26
By Renée Bodkin
I am grateful for lists. I am a list maker. I make lists regularly.
Some benefits to list making are:
Lists keep me focused.
Lists keep me organized.
Lists help me save time.
Lists help me waste time (procrastinate).
Lists reduce my stress.
Lists help me be more productive.
Lists help me prioritize.
Lists help me categorize stuff in my life – to do, to call, to buy, to go. It’s endless really.
Today was one of those days when I had a bunch of stuff that needed to get done and I got like 3 things out of 100 done. But, that’s okay. Because the lists are still there and they’ll be there tomorrow. Even though I already know that not much will get done tomorrow because I have to teach, administer an exam into the late afternoon, feed the family, prepare for a Cub Scout meeting and run a Cub Scout den meeting, write a blog post… and those are MUST DO’s on the list. So, I just might not get to vacuum, organize my clothes, fold the boys’ clothes, and such. The point is… I’ll do some of it and then the list will be there on Tuesday. Hey, speaking of lists — does anyone want to do my grocery shopping (and make a shopping list to go with that shopping trip) tomorrow?
So today, I am grateful for lists. As I was ready to conclude this blog post I googled “benefits of list making” and this site (ListProducer.com) popped up! To think there is someone who dedicates a whole blog to list making – or list producing. And I learned something new, making lists is beneficial to one’s health! Bam! One more great reason to make lists!
