Patience – Day 9
Patience. Defined as: The capacity or fact of being patient. (Don’t you just love when they use the root word in the definition?!?).
Patient. Defined as: Bearing pains or trials calmly or without complaint; steadfast despite difficulty or adversity.
On the outside, I may appear to be a very patient person. But truthfully, it takes much self-control and self-talk and reminders throughout my day to be patient. You see… my days are filled with trials, trials I don’t thrust upon others or complain about but trust me trials none the less.
Just imagine – 50 special education high school students who are resistant to learning each and every day.
Just imagine – 3 active, loud, verbose, opinionated, and did I mention active boys.
Just imagine – an awesome husband whose health and illnesses challenge him daily though his strength and perseverance to keep doing everything that he does each and every day.
Just imagine – a 40 year old Renee juggling family, teaching, scouting, a myriad of other things that are important… and still trying to find time for herself.
So, today I am grateful for the presence of patience.
