Perspective and Prayer – Day 62
By Renee Bodkin
I woke up this morning, checked Facebook to find a friend had shared this update on this blog.
I read it. Was overwhelmed with emotions. Sadness. Admiration. Faith. Grief for this family I don’t know.
And then this feeling of gratitude for PERSPECTIVE.
I have to be honest here. Times are tough. Philip battling cancer, surgeries, and all of the medical hurdles that he has is a struggle for him, for me, and for our family. I am strong. But don’t be confused. I am human and I am overwhelmed. But after reading about this family and what they are going through I realized that perspective is so important. My outlook for my day shifted. I was grateful for all that I have. Family. Friends. I am so fortunate and so grateful.
And now, we pray. Pray for little Ben Sauer. Pray for his miracle. Pray for his family. Pray for Philip. Pray for all those who are sick, hurting, and just need a prayer.
A friend challenged her Facebook friends — stop complaining and start praying. Every time you open your mouth to complain today, stop and say a prayer!!! And pass it along, ask others to pray!
