Unexpected Kind Words – Day 41
By Renée Bodkin
These days are not easy. The weather is tedious and trying. Work is a challenge. Managing the household is a never-ending saga of catch up and balance. Quality time with the boys and hubby are always a priority. Responsibilities seem endless. And we won’t even touch on me taking care of me. But… I plug along. Then today, I get home from work. Help push my mom’s car off my icy street, clean off our parking spot on the street so nobody slips and falls, get in the house to find a handwritten note in the mail from a friend. All of her words were so thoughtful. Though these rang so true especially today, “My Mom used to always say, ‘You just do what you have to do.'” How true that is.
Today I am grateful for unexpected kind words.
What a Blessing! This note in the mail was perfect timing. Inspiration. Renewal of faith in the kindness of people. And I am so grateful that my blog, my rambling, is inspiring others. That wasn’t my goal. Heck, I’m not sure what my goal was/is. Probably to keep my sanity. Challenge myself. But this — this impacting others — is really special and I’m so grateful that my words and thoughts are making a difference.
